HashFlare Price Increase of 46.67%
Hashflare recently increased the price of their 12 month cloud mining contracts.
Last week (8th Dec 2017) they were $150 per TH/s for a SHA256 12 month contract
This week (20th Dec 2017) they are $220 per TH/s for a SHA256 12 month contract
This is a huge increase of 46.67%.
I can only speculate this is due to a number of things:
- Increase in BTC Price
- Demand for cloud mining is high
- Backlog of tickets means more staff required
- They are a business and need to make profit
Like any business they have over heads, staff to pay, expansions to build, power to pay for etc etc
But 46% increase, WOW come on guys that’s a massive jump. How about changing the business model, evaluating every month and price adjust rather than hike it up in a massive jump to make it seem your cashing in on the BTC pump of the last few weeks.
The business model should be based on costs on running the business with a % on top for profit, not on what you can squeeze out of the customers
They have pumped up the price like this before, the last time was for only a small duration as they dropped the price back down again shortly after. maybe when no one purchased at the new price.
I think ill switch to pay outs rather then reinvest once they resolve the Blockchain issue they currently have. Sit on my coin for a while and see what happens.
